Detox with this Recipe
Are you stuck with creating simple cleansing recipes in your kitchen that are tasty, healthy and packed with nutrients?
Dips are the way to go.
You can add them as a side, on your salad, in your packed lunch or just as a simple snack. Dips are so versatile. Simple and easy to prep.
Dips tick all the boxes:
Nutrient-dense & cleansing
High protein
Packed with good fats
Free from inflammatory foods and allergens
This dip is easy to make, roasting the garlic is why it takes longer but the prep time is super quick.
I used a ton of basil, not only was it super tasty, but it was like having a meal and kept me satisfied. I used sunflower seeds for the protein and a lot of good quality olive for extra antioxidants.
Olive oil also helps to breakdown histamine, so it is good to add it to your diet. Cleansing can also be done using certain eating techniques which I talk about here.
BASIL DETOX DIP
1 cup sunflower seeds, soaked overnight
1 bunch fresh basil
1 cup organic olive oil
¼ cup fresh lemon or lime juice
2 garlic heads, roasted and peeled
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ cup of water or more
Add to a food processor, will need a few minutes to blend down to a smooth consistency.
Basil is a potent antioxidant, antimutagenic, antitumorigenic, antiviral, and antibacterial.
Enjoy making this simple cleansing dip.
