Ginger
Ginger is a lovely warming spice with wonderful volatile oils. These volatile oils have amazing benefit. it's because of these oils that ginger is best boiled, this helps to extract the therapeutic benefits. Studies show that ginger daily helps reduce blood sugar, cholesterol and brings down elevated triglycerides.
Coconut Oil
This oil contains three medium triglycerides (MCFA’s) these are: Caprylic acid, Lauric acid, Capric acid.It is because of these MCFA's that coconut oil has its therapeutic benefits. It aids in insulin sensitivity and balancing blood glucose levels. The fats are an excellent energy source, which helps to burn fat and can prevent cravings. The MCFA's have been shown to restore leptin levels. Capric acid contributes to an optimal thyroid function and boosts fat loss. The triad of fats helps to increase lean muscle mass.
Fresh Lemon Juice
Studies show that fresh lemon before a meal assists with lowering blood glucose and insulin levels.
Cayenne
Cayenne contains capsaicin which boosts your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Your BMR is the rate at which the body uses calories for energy. When your BMR is high, you are more likely to lose fat and build lean muscle. As you age, your BMR tends to lower, so using foods and exercise to keep your BMR is important.
Hydrolysed Collagen Protein
This protein is most often from bovine or porcine sources. The protein has a myriad of beneficial amino acids, such as; alanine which helps build connective and collagen tissue. Proteins are a metabolic booster; intake helps your body's own ability to lose fat and build lean muscle.
